Phenol Content and Peroxidase Enzyme Activity in Soybean Infected with Xanthomonas axonopodis pv glycines with the Application of Bacillus subtilis JB12 and Bacillus velezensis ST32

Xanthomonas axonopodis pv glycines (Xag) is a pathogen that causes pustule disease in soybeans. Many techniques for controlling this have been widely developed, one of which the use biological agents. Bacillus sp. from soybean phyllosphere agent has potential to suppress development disease. One control mechanisms through biochemical induction plant resistance includes accumulation phenols, salicylic acid compounds, and peroxidase enzymes. subtilis JB12 velezensis ST32 are two bacteria isolated previously known Xag an antibiosis mechanism. This study aimed determine inducing against infection. research was carried out stages, tosoybean germination experiment greenhouse. consisted 4 treatments 5 replications, including P0 (Xag inoculation), P1 (Bacillus P2 velezensisST32), P3 + inoculation). Observations were made on content phenolic enzyme activity, The results showed differences phenol activity at stages study.Seed treatment with both isolates sp able increase sprouts up 3 - days after inoculation (dai). Phenol then decreased followed by 7 dai. application plants caused fluctuate decrease. general played better role increasing than ST32. not prolong incubation period reduce severity 14 inoculation.
